What is Training IT Procurement Specialist (ITPS) Program?

ITPS training is designed to help participants master the concepts, strategies, and best practices of IT procurement while preparing for the international certification exam by the American Academy. Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of vendor management, risk mitigation, and procurement performance evaluation, supported by question drills and exam simulations.

 

Objectives

  1. Understand IT procurement concepts, lifecycle, and international standards to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  2. Master strategies for vendor management, contract negotiation, and risk mitigation in IT procurement projects.
  3. Be well-prepared for the ITPS exam with effective time management and comprehensive subject understanding.

 

Contents

Day 1: Fundamentals and Strategic IT Procurement Concepts

  1. Session 1: Introduction to IT Procurement and ITPS Certification
  • Definition and scope of IT procurement
  • Importance of ITPS certification in procurement professionalism
  • Structure and format of the ITPS exam
  1. Session 2: IT Procurement Framework
  • IT procurement lifecycle (planning, evaluation, procurement, contract management)
  • Categories of IT products and services in procurement
  • Policies, standards, and international regulations for IT procurement
  1. Session 3: Vendor Management and Strategy
  • Performance-based vendor selection
  • Contract negotiation: strategies and best practices
  • Vendor Relationship Management (VRM)
  1. Practice: Case study on creating a Request for Proposal (RFP) for an IT project

 

Day 2: Implementation, Risk Management, and Exam Preparation

  1. Session 4: Risk Management and Compliance in IT Procurement
  • Identifying risks in IT procurement projects
  • Strategies for risk mitigation and incident management
  • Compliance with international laws and regulations
  1. Session 5: Evaluating IT Procurement Project Performance
  • Measuring procurement project success
  • Analyzing ROI (Return on Investment) and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership)
  • Continuous improvement in procurement processes
  1. Session 6: ITPS Exam Preparation
  • Understanding exam question formats (multiple-choice and case studies)
  • ITPS exam question drills and answer discussions
  • Time management and strategies for exam success
  1. Practice: ITPS exam simulation

Training Methods

The training can be conducted using two methods, allowing participants to choose the most suitable option:

Offline Training Method:

  • The instructor conducts face-to-face training for 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (WIB)) over 2 scheduled days.
  • Techniques used: presentations, discussions, practical exercises/simulations, roleplay, and case studies.
  • The training is conducted in a classroom setting.

Live Online Training Method:

  • The instructor conducts live training for 4 hours per day (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (WIB)) over 2 scheduled days.
  • Techniques used: presentations, discussions, practical exercises/simulations, roleplay, and case studies.
  • The training is conducted via Zoom or Google Meet.

 

Examination Method

  • The examination will be conducted on the third day or according to a mutual agreement.
  • The exam will be held online using Zoom or Google Meet.
  • Participants will be required to complete 50 multiple-choice questions within a 2-hour time limit.

o   Malyabhara Hotel, Malioboro, or

o   El Royal Hotel, Malioboro, etc

·         Includes: Training materials (soft & hard copy), training kits, meeting room, coffee break, lunch, training certificate (soft & hard copy), souvenir, certificate of competency (soft & hard copy) & non-academic title from the American Academy (upon passing the exam).

·         Excludes: Accommodation & transportation for participants, and 11% VAT.
Option 3 – Offline Training in Semarang or Solo,

& Online Exam

·         Training Fee: IDR 6,900,000 per participant.

·         Exam Fee: USD 500 per participant.

·         Minimum Quota: 2 participant.

·         Training Venue:

o   Ibis Hotel, Simpang Lima, Semarang, or

o   Ibis Hotel, Solo, etc

·         Includes: Training materials (soft & hard copy), training kits, meeting room, coffee break, lunch, training certificate (soft & hard copy), souvenir, certificate of competency (soft & hard copy) & non-academic title from the American Academy (upon passing the exam).

·         Excludes: Accommodation & transportation for participants, and 11% VAT.
Option 4 – Offline Training in Jakarta, Bandung, Malang, or Surabaya,

& Online Exam

 ·         Training Fee: IDR 7,900,000 per participant.

·         Exam Fee: USD 500 per participant.

·         Minimum Quota: 2 participant.

·         Training Venue:

o   Asyana Hotel, Kemayoran, Jakarta, or

o   Amaris Hotel, Kemang, Jakarta, or

o   Panen Hotel, Bandung, or

o   Fave Hotel, Malang, or

o   Midtown Hotel, Surabaya, etc

·         Includes: Training materials (soft & hard copy), training kits, meeting room, coffee break, lunch, training certificate (soft & hard copy), souvenir, certificate of competency (soft & hard copy) & non-academic title from the American Academy (upon passing the exam).

Option 5 – Offline Training Outside Java Island (Bali, Lombok, Balikpapan, Batam, etc.), & Online Exam ·         Training Fee: IDR 8,900,000 per participant.

·         Exam Fee: USD 500 per participant.

·         Minimum Quota: 2 participant.

·         Training Venue:

o   Ibis Hotel, Kuta, Bali, or

o   Lombok Raya Hotel, Mataram, or

o   Fave Hotel, Balikpapan, or
